Agenda

Please join us for the November edition of codebar Monthlies, and the last one of the year!

Speakers
Rabea Gleissner, "An introduction to progressive web apps"

There's been a lot of excitement in our industry recently about progressive web apps, these shiny new websites which can transform themselves into native-like mobile apps. During this talk I'll explain what a progressive web app is, how it is built and why it is so exciting.

Chris James, “Defensive Programming”

Chris has been programming for a long time and has written and read a lot of needlessly complicated code. In this talk Chris will describe a real-world consequence of tricky code causing real problems and how a different approach to writing software and picking tools could have avoided a lot of stress for everyone involved.

Lightning Talks

Mollie Stephenson, "The bits that make up RAM"

Eli Schutze, "Naming Things is Hard"

Charlotte Spencer, "Getting into Open Source"

We're looking for lightning talks! We'd especially love to hear from codebar students. Contact us at [email protected].
