Mind the Code is a day-long coding and yoga workshop.

Sponsored by and running as part of, We Spring Forward festival, a month long celebration of the role of women in digital culture, coinciding with women's history month in March.

The coding sessions will be focused on fun and exploration.

We will provide external resources to explore, projects to remix and tutorials to follow. These exercises will be in JavaScript or Ruby and students will be working together with our coaches.

All levels of Javascript and Ruby are welcome, including none, and we would recommend taking this opportunity to learn.

The yoga practice and meditation will be led by senior yoga teacher, Leonie Taylor.

In classes, Leonie explores the philosophy that underpins the physical practise, the ability to 'recode' neural pathways through physical, breathing and meditative practises to shift held emotional and physical patterns.
She is fascinated by studies in neuroscience which have explored how mindfulness and meditation can reshape the brain, and encourages students to explore their own experiences on the mat and the mind body connection, in an interesting, pragmatic and conscious way.

Leonie is a 500 hour Yoga Alliance Accredited teacher as well as a Thai Yoga Massage therapist. Find out more about Leonie and her teaching at centred space
