This event is a bumper edition of our usual Tuesday workshop, with a creative edge.

WORKSHOP // Creative-Coding : Building Musical Worlds:
A workshop in creative-coding, building a musical eco-system in which autonomous organisms roam, breed and feed, generating sound with their actions.
The session will make use of Javascript, HTML5 canvas and the Web Audio API. Students should have a basic understanding of Javascript, or have completed the first 2 codebar JS tutorials. Workshop by Luke Twyman @whitevinyluk

Graham is part way through making a copy of a well know game. He's going to share the things he's learnt whilst trying to tame this complicated creature. Graham is a local developer and master of all the internets at clearleft
Maf'j Alvarez - Bringing a story to life in Unity3d.
The ups and downs of a 6 month journey on a steep learning curve. Maf'j shares her 6 months journey into the magical realm of creating an immersive video game story in Unity3d, based on her mother's childhood. Maf'j questions her own motives for treading this steep learning curve, but is uplifted by a variety of mentors, supporters, enthusiasts and volunteers. Diving into the murky waters of C# language, Maf'j discovers the power of animating her dreams to life using code. Maf'j Alvarez has worked as a digital media artist, user experience designer and web developer since 1998.
